Welcome, I'm Marie — French born, South Africa based, self-taught photographer who loves to make photography filrt with art. As a practicing life coach and mom to neurodivergent boys, I don't just capture moments; I turn them into emotional, healing experiences. Have a peek at my work, and you'll find more than images—you'll discover diverse, authentic narratives and unposed beauty that transcend the pretty.

WHEN YOU LOOK AT YOUR PHOTOGRAPHS,
I WANT YOU TO SEE WHAT I SEE:
THE DIVERSE, RAW, SOMETIMES MESSY, AUTHENTIC BEAUTY AND DEEP LOVE THAT RUNS THROUGH YOUR UNIQUE HUMAN EXPERIENCE.

As a mom to an autistic child with ADHD & PDA (a complex profile of autism) and a neurodivergent person myself, I understand the unique challenges and joys that come with being or raising differently wired humans. I also get that for many people, posing for photos might be as appealing as a trip to the dentist. That's why my approach is deeply respectful to your needs and preferences.

You don't just walk away with photographs; you leave with a narrative keepsake that transcends time and generations. As the artist behind the lens, I invite you to be more than a subject; you become a co-creator of your life's visual stories.

Sensitivity, respect, and a PROFOUND understanding of special needs & neurodiversity.

MY APPROACH

Radical acceptance is what I live by.

Not a fan of staged photos that look nothing like real life? Me neither.

As a documentary photographer, I avoid directing the shoot as much as I can. Rather, I connect and hang out with you and document genuine moments as they unfold. That includes messy kitchens, unruly hair, tears and tantrums. These "imperfect" moments are part of what makes your story real and authentic.

I want you and your family to feel completely free to be yourselves in front of my lens.

If you identify as an unconventional or differently wired family, I know first hand how the gaze of strangers can be a huge source of stress. And trust me, I have seen and heard it all with my own kids. Radical acceptance is what I live by, and I want your children to feel completely free to be themselves. My mission is for you to relax and enjoy the session as a moment of connection with your family without worrying about your children's behaviour or language.

Families come in many different shapes and sizes: Nuclear families, single-parent families, extended families
childless families, adopted families, stepfamilies, grandparent families, LGBQIA+ families, neurodivergent families...

I deeply respect and value diversity and inclusion, and it matters greatly to me that I to portrait this through my work.
